OUR HISTORY
In 1995, Bethany Church was established in Southall with the primary aim of meeting the spiritual needs of the Tamil-speaking Christian community in the area. The church's beginnings were humble, led by a young man with limited experience in church planting and little recognition as a church leader. Despite these challenges, he displayed tremendous zeal, unwavering determination, and heartfelt devotion to serving the Lord under any circumstances, including trials and tribulations.
Armed with unshakeable faith, Reverend TMI Sathiyaraj tirelessly knocked on every door in Southall to spread the word of God. Through his persistent efforts, he welcomed his first congregant—a Sinhala lady—into the fledgling church. With diligent prayers and hard work, this small gathering began to flourish, inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit. It was during this transformative period that Reverend TMI Sathiyaraj emerged as a beloved leader.
As time passed, the membership of Bethany Church grew steadily, attracting individuals from various nationalities, cultures, languages, and backgrounds. The church has become a second home for all who seek solace within its walls. Regardless of afflictions—be they broken hearts, worries about the future, or other psychological and physical challenges—Bethany Church offers a sanctuary where individuals can find comfort. Through prayer and worship, miracles take place, and burdens are lifted.
Bethany Church of God warmly invites individuals from all walks of life to participate in our church activities. We welcome everyone to experience the blessings of fellowship and worship within our community.
